As dogs age you, may notice changes in the appearance of their eyes. The eyes may appear hazy and you may wonder whether your dog may have cataracts. While it's true that old dogs may develop cataracts, it's also true that that dogs are also prone to developing other changes in their eyes. "Cloudy changes in older dogs’ are likely to be an age-related connective tissue change in the lens called lenticular sclerosis. Every dog generally over the age of nine develops this and suffers from nearsightedness," says Dr. Ivana.
