Did you know? China eyes in dogs are eyes that are clear or spotted, blue, light blue, or whitish eyes. The American Kennel Club describes China eyes in the Old English sheepdog (OES) breed's standard. China eyes may also be seen in dog breeds featuring the merle coat, a coat pattern boasting mottled patches of color throughout the coat. On top of causing mottled patches, the merle gene modifies eye color, diluting it.
